So, you may have noticed... I blogged a lot more pre-Lucy. Okay, and when Lucy was a blob. Most of you are probably thinking, "Oh, that's totally understandable... now that Lucy's mobile, it's hard to find time to sit in front of the computer and write." I appreciate your understanding, but I honestly don't think that's the reason. If I'm to be perfectly candid, I sit in front of the computer far too often (oh, facebook...). It's just these days, when I'm sitting in front of the computer, I either want to get some productive done (recently I've been obsessed with Quicken) or want to not think at all.
I've opened the "compose new post" window several times and found myself just staring at a blank page. I felt so much more inspired in the pregnant and newborn-Lucy stage. Maybe because I had hours to muse about things. Funny how there's a lot less musing that goes on now.
Lately I've been struggling with feeling behind and overwhelmed. I'm finally full caught up on our Quicken, which is a check off the list. But the house is never as clean as I feel it ought to be, I'm not self-disciplined enough about when I get up in the morning, I'm constantly running late to events (I used to be an early arriver!), I haven't looked at my wedding planning curriculum in a month, and I spend too much time on frivolous things when I should be getting stuff done... And so on and so forth. This is why I haven't blogged. What is there new about these feelings? I know every mom has them.
So to those of you who have come up to me recently and asked about my blog, thanks so much for your interest and encouragement to keep writing. It is a blessing to hear unsolicited comments about the blog. I keep looking for things to write about... but unfortunately, each time I do seem to get inspired, I've forgotten it by the time I have a moment to blog. So no promises about the future, but I wanted to say thanks for reading, even if it's just a few people, and thanks for the encouragement to keep at it.

You're welcome. :-) I feel like I get to catch up with you even when we don't have time for a face-to-face by reading your blog.
