Well, after a full day of Second Harvest (our church's monthly food distribution program), a memorial service, birthday dinner for my dad at Ruby's (yes, the one a quarter mile out on the pier), and a walk around our neighborhood, I'm now in labor. :) My contractions aren't as strong as the midwife would like them to be, but my water has broken, so they admitted me. They are recommending pitocin to help the contractions along, but we are going to try walking for an hour to see if that gets things going.
By the way, did you know that midwives can be male?
goooooood luck! The hard part is almost over! you are sooo lucky to have Amanda by your side! what a blessing!
