My father/daughter dance song at my wedding was the song "I Loved Her First," by the group Heartland. This song still makes my dad tear up, almost four years later (or at least, there is an odd coincidence of "dust in my eyes" at the same time this song plays on the radio). :)One of the special memories I have about this song is when my dad told Jacob something to the effect of, "You know that last line of the song? I look forward to the day when you get to experience that, too. It's so true." I'm so excited that the day is coming (soon!) when Jacob will get to experience that "the love of a father runs deep." What a precious time of anticipation!
